Your child may know more English than they feel confident using.
Many learners understand grammar, vocabulary, or classroom exercises but hesitate when it is time to speak. They may worry about making mistakes, need more time to answer, or feel nervous when a conversation moves beyond familiar questions.
I create a patient and encouraging space where your child can practice without feeling intimidated. Through guided conversation, clear explanations, and activities matched to their level and interests, English becomes something they can use — not just something they study.

Three ways we can work together
These are not three packages. Most students work on a mix of them, and the balance changes as they go.
Speak English with confidence
We usually start with a few minutes of real conversation — how your child’s day went, something they want to tell me about. From there we work on what we’ve agreed: reviewing what we’ve covered, making sure the foundations are solid, then introducing something new and using it in situations they would actually meet. We improvise conversations, talk through scenarios, and there is always room for your child to ask me questions too.
After about three months, most students speak more easily. They build better sentences, they start to notice the grammar differences that used to confuse them, and — more importantly — English stops feeling stressful. They know they can make a mistake in my lesson without being embarrassed.
Make English easier to understand
If school English is the priority, we work with it — bring the textbook, the homework, the topic that isn’t making sense. I use the textbook as a guide rather than a script. We rely on it; we don’t depend on it. If your child would understand something better from a different angle, or needs longer on one point, we take that route and come back to the book afterwards.
The aim isn’t to finish more exercises. It’s for your child to understand what they’re doing, and be able to use it.
Prepare with purpose
IELTS, TOEFL and TOEFL Junior, Cambridge English, and university entrance exams. Students bring the questions and practice material they’re stuck on, and we work through them alongside their English itself — how the exam is built, what each task is really asking, how to shape an answer, and where the marks actually are.
Exam preparation is real work, but it isn’t separate from everything else. A student who can already speak comfortably walks into a speaking exam differently.
Is this a good fit?
Lessons and communication are in English. Your child needs enough English for us to understand each other during the lesson, and parent messages should be sent in English. You are welcome to use a translation tool when writing to me.
How lessons work

We agree a plan.
After the trial, if you’d like to continue, we decide together how often we’ll meet, what materials we’ll use, and what approach suits your child. I then send you a short note in plain English confirming what we’ve agreed, before the first lesson.

Lessons find a rhythm.
Each lesson settles into a shape — a warm-up, the main work, conversation and practice, a short review, and a direction for next time. It’s a structure, not a script.

You hear from me after every lesson.
The same day, a short note: what we worked on, how your child did, and what comes next. Two or three short paragraphs. You’re welcome to reply or ask about anything at any time.

Scheduling stays flexible.
Lessons are 50 minutes, and two a week works well for most students. We keep the same time each week where we can, and if something comes up, we move it. Lessons are arranged month by month, and the plan carries on unless you’d like to change it.
Lessons take place on VooV Meeting (Tencent Meeting). Your child needs the app installed, a suitable device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.
I don’t set formal homework. When it suits what we are working on, I may suggest something optional to watch, read, play, or try. The lesson remains the main place where the work happens.
A language teacher who understands what it means to be a learner
Hello, I’m Stefan — a language and literature specialist, TEFL-certified teacher, and lifelong language learner based in Serbia.
I have taught English online since 2016, working with more than 1,000 learners across Asia. Much of my experience has been with Chinese students, from children building their foundations to teenagers preparing for international English examinations and future study abroad.
My own experience with languages shapes the way I teach. I studied language and literature at the University of Novi Sad, spent time living and working in the United States, and held a two-semester language-study scholarship in Germany. I have also taught German, English, and Serbian. These experiences have shown me that learning a language requires more than memorizing rules: students need clear guidance, regular practice, patience, and the confidence to make mistakes.
That is the environment I aim to create in every lesson. I want students to feel supported and challenged, but never intimidated by English.
One student. One learning plan.
No two students begin with exactly the same knowledge, goals, interests, or way of learning. That is why I prefer 1:1 lessons: I can listen carefully, notice where a student needs support, and adapt each class to the individual rather than asking the individual to fit a fixed program.
Patient guidance, useful correction.
Students need room to think, try, and make mistakes. I correct errors in a constructive way, explain difficult points clearly, and give students repeated opportunities to use new language. This helps accuracy develop without making the student afraid to speak.
Clear communication with parents.
After each regular lesson, parents receive a brief update covering what we practiced, the progress I noticed, and what the student should work on next. This keeps parents informed without interrupting the child’s independence during class.
